About getWITit
GetWITit is a non-profit organization, with the specific mission of addressing
the declining number of women in the information systems and computing industries, through programs that promote awareness, address attrition, create opportunities to transition to tech, and preparation for leadership.
Our Vision
getWITit fosters an environment that inspires diverse thought within technology by building passionate communities to promote change. We aspire to cultivate local community engagement so that women can sustain, excel, and advance in technology careers.

We believe in creating an inclusive community where all women feel welcomed and valued, regardless of their background, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. We recognize that the technology industry
has historically been male-dominated, and that women from underrepresented groups may face additional barriers to entry and advancement in the field. As such, we are committed to providing support and
resources to women from diverse backgrounds, including women of color, LGBTQ+ women, women with disabilities, and women from low-income backgrounds.
We are committed to empowering women in technology by providing them with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. We believe in fostering self-confidence, skills development, and leadership abilities among women.

The getWITit National Board of Directors empowers local chapters to execute the organization’s mission and vision. It supports each getWITit chapter location while also preserving the organization’s public standing by ensuring accountability and the future integrity of the organization.
