Welcome to 3rd Annual Cleveland witCON2020: A Century of Disruption #howfarwehavecome #howfarwewillgo
The Cleveland Chapter of getWITit would like to invite and welcome you to the 3rd annual conference for Women in Technology. Our theme this year, A Century of Disruption, pays homage to the women who led the charge during the suffrage movement 100 years ago. Their sacrifice paved the way for generations, allowing young girls to dream big and become leaders in all industries.
This conference features career & leadership, technical, and innovation topics to an audience of 400+ women ranging from software delivery roles, leadership & management, technical & engineering, and recruiting/sales roles supporting the industry.
This event celebrates the contributions that women have made to computing while focusing on how we can improve the opportunities for women to contribute to the next era of innovation.
This year’s keynote speaker is Cleveland’s own JJ DiGeronimo, the President of Tech Savvy Women. JJ designs programs with corporate leaders to attract, retain and advance professionals in technology and related fields. Some of her customers include Amazon, Ingram Micro, Clemson University, Grainger, RIT, VMware, Rockwell Automation, KeyBank, and IBM.
After graduating with a computer information systems degree in 1995 from Ohio University, JJ began her career designing datacenter infrastructures for Fortune 500 companies at Accenture. Prior to her recent work, JJ had a 20-year career in high-tech positioning new datacenter solutions to CIOs, primarily based in Silicon Valley. She advanced into leadership positions within technology companies, including Inktomi and VMware.
Now an author, JJ shares personal anecdotes, examples, and stories from those who have stumbled, fallen and succeeded. With a playbook for professional women to maximize their talents and make their professional goals a reality, JJ’s second book, Accelerate Your Impact: Action-based Strategies to Pave Your Professional Path, won five book awards. This complements her 2011 book, The Working Woman’s GPS, also an award-winning book.
Through her keynotes and executive sessions, JJ shares effective leadership and inclusion strategies to retain and develop diverse talent and is recognized as a thought-leader for Women in Tech and Girls and STEM. She is a featured business columnist for Smart Business Magazine and a regular guest on TV and radio shows. Her work is featured in Forbes, Inc. Magazine, CIO Magazine, Working Women, and The Wall Street Journal, along with many other publications.
We look forward to seeing you there!
