getWITit is excited to offer even more this year! In addition to the conference, we are please to bring you an optional second day workshop. We have 2 offerings this year, “Intro to Modern Web Development” and “Emotional Intelligence workshop”. Both will be full day workshops held on 10/1/19, the day following the conference. You can sign up for just the workshop, or both the workshop and the conference.
Emotional Intelligence Workshop
Emotional Intelligence is defined as a set of competencies demonstrating the ability one has to recognize his or her behaviors, moods, and impulses, and to manage them best according to the situation. Learning to manage emotions is key to having a fulfilling, purpose-filled life.
This highly interactive, full-day workshop will give you the tools you need to be emotionally intelligent in your workplace and in your relationships outside of work. An employee with high emotional intelligence can manage his or her own impulses, communicate with others effectively, manage change well, solve problems, and use humor to build rapport in tense situations. These employees also have empathy, remain optimistic even in the face of adversity, and are better prepared to deal with challenges at work and at home. You can learn more about the instructor at her website: http://eilife.org.
